Zackery A Hart-Darnell

Zackery A. Hart-Darnell age 16 of Griffith passed away on Thursday May 21st, 2020.

Zack had such a contagious laugh!  He would laugh whenever we struggled to get him dressed or undressed.  He was so strong and he would stiffen his arms up so it was almost impossible to get him dressed…and he would just laugh!  He got excited coming home from school and coming home from an outing.  He would kick and laugh, showing us he was happy to be home.  Zack loved school and all of his friends.  He would laugh, a big belly laugh, if one of the other students would get “in trouble”.  Zack loved going to clothing stores.  He would put his arm out and run it along all the clothes, and laugh as he was doing it.  He sometimes knocked things off the shelf and laughed.  He enjoyed watching TV and he would laugh at the funny parts.

Zack attended school at Griffith High School.  He loved all of his past and present teachers, paraprofessionals, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, and all who were involved in his care.  They all were so kind, helpful and they played such an important part in his life.

Zackery touched the heart of so many people.  He was ornery with a great sense of humor.  He was strong and has been through so much, yet always happy and full of smiles.  Everything was a joke to him and laughter came easy.  Everyone complemented him on his beautiful eyes and eyelashes. His beautiful smile and eyes touched the lives around him. Zackery was a very loving and happy boy who will be missed by all.

He is survived by his mother; Marsha Hart, sister; Mercedes Hart-Darnell, maternal grandparents; Linda Hart (Bobby Frankovich), Dale (Sharon) Hart, paternal grandmother; Carol Darnell, Uncles; Sam Hart (Kerri), Billy Hart, David Hart, Great aunts; Michelle Hart and Nancy Rutkowski (Michael), Cousins: Tessa and Ben Hart and by extended family.

Zackery was preceded in death by his father Gregory Darnell, Uncle Brandon Hart, Cousin Corey Rutkowski and maternal great grandparents, Harry and Irene Dunmire.

Funeral services will be held on Friday May 29th at 7:30 PM at WHITE FUNERAL HOME located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave.) Griffith with Pastor Jimmy Lopez officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may meet with the family on Friday May 29th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at WHITE FUNERAL HOME.
