Mr. William Howard Howe, 83 of Bruceton, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hoosier Burn Camp, a non-profit organization helping young people that have experienced trauma related to severe burn injuries.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Visitation will also be at White Funeral Home in Griffith, Indiana on Sunday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a IVFA ceremony at 6:00 PM.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the White Funeral Home in Griffith, Indiana with the committal service following at the Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville, Indiana.
Mr. Howe was born May 19, 1938, in Camden, Tennessee, to the late William Commie and Era Florence Greer Howe. He was a machinist for LTV Steel Company. He was a volunteer firefighter for 44 years, in which he received numerous awards including the Sagamore of the Wabash award, given by the governor to those who have rendered distinguished service to the state. He was a state officer for the Indiana Volunteer Fire Fighter Association for 25 years. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Dwayne Howe, Wilburn Edwards, Lawerance Edwards, Aaron Edwards, and a granddaughter, Ariel G. Reed.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betsy Ann Howe, three daughters, Robin Reed, of Merrillville, Indiana, Susanna Talbert Howe (Michael Talbert) of Schererville, Indiana, Roberta Jo Ward, of Knox, Indiana, a son, William Allyn Howe, of Dyer Indiana, a sister, Peggy Jo Higdon (Harry) of Hollow Rock, sisters-in-law, Sandra Howe, Theresa Edwards, and Kathy Rea of Bruceton, brother in law Larry Morris. He also leaves twelve grandchildren, Justin Reed, Steven Reed, Zachary Reed, Heather Klepinger (Eric), Kyle Salazar (Samantha), William Joseph Howe (Caitlin), Kristan Hanas, Denise Levine (Rudy), Michael Talbert, Jr. (Vanessa), Emily Herron (Jeremy), Colleen Herron, and Nathan Herron, twelve great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a special family friend, George Michels (January).
