Velda found the most enjoyment spending time with her family and friends. Her support for her grandchildren was unmeasured whether sitting on the sidelines of a sporting event, attending school functions, hosting a sleepover, or watching great grandchildren play at her feet. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting and cross stitch but her real love was quilting which takes much time, patience, and love. A reflection of how she lived her life. She took the time and the patience to love each and every person in her life beyond measure, and if you were lucky enough to receive one of her quilts, you felt that immense love wrapped into its beautiful design and handiwork. All her quilts bore the true meaning of “handmade with love”.
