Thomas William LaPosa

Thomas W. (Tom) LaPosa, age 67, of Hamond, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024.  He is survived by his siblings: Marilyn (John) Ginzel, Colman (Ginny) LaPosa, Robert (Renee) LaPosa; nieces: Lori (Corey) Konopasek, Brigette (Adam) Deel, Kara (Jasyn) Tandy; nephew: Robert Ginzel and long-time friend: Tracey Wilson.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Colman and Isabel LaPosa.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 12:00 PM at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, located at 7113 Columbia Avenue Hammond, IN 46324

Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th) Ave. Griffith, Indiana.

Tom graduated from Calumet College in 1979 with an Associate Degree of Science in Law Enforcement and served with the Hammond Police Department for 38 years holding the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the Hammond FOP 51.
