Steven Darnell Obituary

Steven M. Darnell, age 47, of Hammond passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022. He is survived by his companion in life, Natalie; his children: Ava, Bowie, and Jasper; twin brothers David and Richard Darnell; nieces Holly, Genevieve, Olivia, Scarlett, Savannah; nephews Stefan and Richard; aunt Sheila (Dave) Brandenburg; uncle George Morgan; and by his cousins George, Julie, Kate and Danny. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard “Marty” Darnell, and Jane Morgan.

Steven was a graduate of Morton High School, class of 1994. He was a tattoo artist at Bugaboo.

Steven was special. Everyone who knew him loved him. He had a huge heart and loved immensely. He was a proud father and loved time with his children. He loved being outdoors and took his children for hikes in the woods often. Steven loved to fish and shared that with Jasper. He was someone who was full of life and had a kind of energy that was his alone. He was a talented artist who tattooed, painted, and sculpted. His work is admired by people from all over. He loved music and movies and was sure to share all his favorites with Ava and Bowie. He had many friends and recently reconnected with ones that he had lost touch with. Friends were extremely important to him. He was Natalie’s person in life. He taught her that real love is never ending.
