Sofia (Perez) Abeyta

Sofia “Sofie” Abeyta was a dedicated mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. Sofia passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the age of 51.

Sofia had a contagious personality and smile. She enjoyed the simplest pleasures in life like in home remodeling and DIY projects, always bringing her vision to life. She was a passionate Green Bay Packers fan, but above all, her greatest pride was her family, whom she cherished deeply. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Sofia is survived by Frank Abeyta and her children; Sofia (Eddie), Valerie (Melecio), Anthony (Kasaundra), Alicia, grandchildren; Tay, Melecio, Mariana, and Maricela, brothers; Eduardo (Lupe), Manuel (Jeanifer) brother-in-law Jorge and several nieces and nephews.

Sofia was preceded in death by parents Eduardo and Mary Perez, and sister Rosemary Gutierrez

The family asks that all family and friends come for a Memorial Visitation on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM followed with a Memorial Service at 7:00 PM at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave) Griffith, In 46319.
