Scott D. DeLauro

Scott D. DeLauro age 68 of Griffith, passed away on Monday August 11, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Patti; children David DeLauro, Cynthia (Evan) Haney, and Timothy DeLauro; grandchildren Libby, Emerson, James, and Jaycee Marie; his siblings Stephen (Kim) DeLauro, Elliott (Alice) DeLauro II, Deborah (Steve) Volz; brother-in-law Rick Flutka; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Scott was preceded in death by his parents Elliott and Helen DeLauro, infant daughter Elizabeth Ada DeLauro, and by his sister Janis Flutka.

Memorial services will be held on Friday August 15, 2025, at 7:00pm at White Funeral Home with IVFA Chaplain officiating. Inurnment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. Friends may meet with family on Friday August 15, 2025, from 3-7:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave (45th Ave) in Griffith.

Scott retired from Inland Steel (Mechanic) after 41 years, and was a Battalion Chief and member of the Griffith Fire Department for over 42 years. He was a former Griffith Little League coach and Hamm Radio operator. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Hoosier Burn Camp P.O. Box 233 Battle Ground, Indiana 47920.
