Obituary
Salomon B. Ruiz age 89 of Griffith, formerly of Gary, passed away on Monday March 28, 2022. He is survived by his sons; Alex (Marilyn) Diaz and Emilio (Michelle) Ruiz, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and by his other family members living in Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Raul and Natavidad Ruiz, his wife of 62 years Frances V. Ruiz, and by his son Manual Franco.
Funeral services will be held on Friday April 1, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home and Cremation Services located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th) Avenue in Griffith, Indiana with Pastor José Burgos officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may meet with the family on Friday April 1st, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Salomon was a retired crane operator from US Steel after many years. He was a member of the Steelworkers Union Local 1014 and a member of the New Creation Ministry Church in Highland. Salomon’s hobby was his love of gardening.
