Ruth Helen Lopez, age 83, of Schererville, passed away on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025.

She is survived by her children; Lisa (Kent) Lefner, Brian Lopez, Gregory Lopez, Kimberly Lopez (Cary), grandchildren; Stephanie (Alex) Vargas, Kristen (Andrew) Kurtz, Nena (Jacob) Bielecki, Jazmin Garner, Ti Jackson, Alexis Lopez, Charles Jackson, Adriana Mendez, great-grandchildren; Amelia, Aiden, Maxwell, Kensley, Kailey, and sister, Carol (Vince) Miller.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, William and Grace Stephens, daughter, Nicole Lopez, and Baby Boy Jr.

A Celebration of Life will take place on her birthday on July 12th, 2025.

Ruth was an Army WAC Veteran and retired from Walmart.

Ruth enjoyed her time reading, traveling, spending time with her cats, and watching television; detective shows and the Hallmark Channel, being some of her favorites.
