Ronald George Lallky Sr., 89, of Fair Oaks, Indiana, formerly of South Holland, Illinois, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026.
He is survived by his children, Kathy (John) Haas and Ron Lallky Jr. (Patty Jaworski); his grandchildren, Kristin Price and Dustin (Megan) Haas; and his great-grandchildren, Daniella Price, Owen Haas, and Corbin Haas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Reinhold Lallky and Jeane Gertrude Adler; his beloved wife, Nancy Lallky; his brothers, Kenneth Lallky and Donald “Bob” Lallky; and his sister, Darlene Gray.
Ronald was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who found great joy in spending time with his family. He spent 47 years working for Erkert Brothers in Chicago, where his dedication and strong work ethic were valued by many. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and simple pleasures in life. Ron was an avid golfer and bowler, proudly achieving a perfect 300 game during his bowling years. He also enjoyed feeding and watching birds and wildlife and took great pride in helping care for the horses. Above all, he cherished time spent with those he loved.
Funeral service will be held Friday, March 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 12718 Marshall St., Crown Point, Indiana, with Pastor Pamela Thiede officiating. Visitation will also be held at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church Food Pantry or to a local animal shelter.
