Robert "Bob" William Scott was born on December 1, 1953, and passed away on October 22, 2023, from health-related causes. Bob's parents, Robert and Barbara Scott, baptized and dedicated him to God at three weeks of age. Bob graduated from Hammond High School in 1971 and went on to earn his Associates in Technology from Ivy Tech State College in 1997. He then obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Marketing from the School of Management at Purdue University Calumet in 2003. He was a mechanic by trade who obtained his ASE certification as a Certified Master Automobile Technician, and he served as a Union Representative at past employers. He loved working on and fixing cars (including his old Bronco!). Bob loved to barbecue, play pool, laugh, read, learn, and teach others. He also loved playing chess, fishing with his dad, remodeling and fixing homes, watching the Chicago Bears, and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of many years, Brenda Scott, mother, Barbara Scott, sister, Kathy (Wayne) Sheffield, children Melanie (Stephen) Lopez, Tamar Kenworthy, and Jared (Angie) Scott, along with grandchildren Dylan, Jackson, and Jacob Scott; Logan and Cole Kenworthy; and Chance and Colton Lopez. Bob was also a father to Brenda's children Antonio (Catherine) Martinez, Mellyssa (Jerry) Rodriguez, Javier (Rosalie) Peterson, and Juan Martinez Jr. He was grandfather to Victoria, Antonio, Alonzo, Brianna, Georgie, Jerry, Cynderella, Alex, Lauren, Eian, Toby, Javier, Jazlene, Eric, Nautica, Jaylen, Alivia, and Julian, and great-grandfather to Severa.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Manninger Scott (1926-2012) and brother, Steven Manning Scott (1955-1985).
