Robert S. Piorkowski

Robert “Bob” S. Piorkowski, age 88, of Dyer and formerly of Griffith, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Wilma Piorkowski, children: Brian (Jocelyn Farris) Piorkowski and Beth (Jared) Litherland, grandchildren: Clara and Nicholas, sisters: Arlene (late Robert) Carman and Georgene (late Jack) Kestner, and several nieces and nephews. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Sophie Piorkowski.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:00 AM, with Father Mens officiating. Entombment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.

Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 PM at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave.) in Griffith.

Robert was a graduate from Hammond Tech High School in the class of ‘56. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith, and a retired employee for Lever Brothers for more than 30 years. Robert was proud to have served his country in the Army Reserves, loved a good action movie, and was known for taking pride in his yard and its appearance.
