Michael Verbich, age 50, of Griffith, Indiana, passed away on March 7, 2026.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Sara, and his cherished son, Grayson. He is also survived by his mother, Rose Verbich; his brother, John Verbich III (Melinda); his sister, Trisha Angel; his brother-in-law Guy Louie; brother at heart, Jason (Noell) Andriessen, and several nieces, nephews and great-nephews who he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Marjorie Verbich, Sr., father, John Verbich, Jr., and his sister, Rhonda Louie.
Michael had a deep passion for bowling and was very active in the sport. He also loved the Florida Gators and was an avid fan of their football team. Many remember his love for DC Comics, especially Superman. Michael graduated from Griffith High School in 1993. Michael built a long and respected career with TForce Freight (formerly Overnite). He began his career in 1998 as a mechanic and spent most of his recent career as a Shop Region Fleet Manager. His commitment and leadership earned him the respect of colleagues throughout his career.
Above all else, he treasured time with his family and friends and especially loved watching his son, Grayson, play the sports he loves.
Michael will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his great laugh, and the way he loved his friends like family, always taking pride in supporting the people he cared about.
Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, March 12th from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home located at 921 West 45th (Glen Park) Avenue in Griffith, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday March 12th at 7:00 p.m., at White Funeral Home, with Pastor Brandon Rukes officiating. Cremation to follow the services.
Michael will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
