Obituary

Merrill "Inky" E. Pierce, age 81, of Gary, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023. He is survived by his sons Kent (Stacy) Pierce and Max (Deanne) Pierce; grandchildren: Camie, Jesika, Kimberly, Chantel, Timothy, and Megan; great grandchildren: Brynleigh, Wyatt, Hayden; brothers: Don, David, Calvin, and Paul Pierce; numerous nieces and nephews.

Inky was preceded in death by his daughter Mary (Pierce) Eberwein; parents Russell and Jeanette Pierce; and siblings: Max, Dale, Sandy, and Kathy.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th) Ave. Griffith, Indiana 46319.

Inky retired from Indiana Forge in East Chicago. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Clint Eastwood movies, dancing to the oldies, and sitting by bonfires with family and friends.
