Melba J. George age 85 of Hammond passed away on Wednesday August 25, 2021. She is survived by her children Dwayne (Jessie) George, Rodney George and “adopted” son Jim Wisniewski; grandchildren Ashley, Ali and Kyra George; great granddaughter Alayna George
Preceded in death by her parents Isaac and Maggie Burgess, husband Willie, siblings Lois, Marie, Katie, Daniel, and Paul.
Services will be private.
Melba was a longtime Hairdresser in Hammond, and she helped her husband Willie at “Willies Tap” in Hammond.
