Mary A. (Smerek) Magiera

Mary Magiera age 90 of Griffith, Indiana passed away on Tuesday October 26, 2021. Mary is survived by her children Michael (Jaime) Magiera, Paul (Jennifer) Magiera, Edward (Late Kym) Magiera, Judith (Eddie) Sutton, Jeffrey (Sheryl) Magiera, Kathleen (David) Tarrant, Teresa (Jeff) Pyle, Joseph (Dawn) Magiera; 22 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and several grand puppies. She is preceded in death by her parents Michael and Susan Smerek, brother John, husband Henry, and son Raymond.

Funeral services will be held Saturday October 30th at 10 a.m. directly at St. Mary Catholic Church located at 525 North Broad St. in Griffith, Indiana with Father Theodore Mens celebrating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday October 29th from 4-8 p.m. at White Funeral Home located at 921 W Glen Park Ave (45th Ave.) in Griffith, Indiana.

Mary was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society, the Choir, and the Funeral Choir.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Mary.
