Mary (Cook) Koweski

Mary Koweski age 74 of Highland, formerly of Hammond, passed away on Sunday December 10, 2023. She is survived by her sons Karl (Donna) Koweski, Peter Koweski, Steven Koweski, and Alex (Heidi) Koweski; grandchildren Gloria, Jared and Kyersta; siblings Otto Cook, Blear Butler, Alice Cook, Aleanna Southerland, Paul Cook, James Cook, and Earl Cook; and by her several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Viven and Anneliese Cook and her husband Arthur Koweski, her father in-law Walter Obcowski.

Friends may meet with the family on Saturday December 16, 2023, from 4-7:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave (45th Ave) in Griffith.

Cremation will follow the visitation.

Mary was a former employee with Kay Manufacturing in Calumet City, Illinois. She also was a bartender at Mr. Joe’s and at Barney's. Mary also enjoyed cooking and crocheting in her spare time.
