Maria C (Hernandez) Melchor

Maria C. Melchor, age 63, of Gary, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.

She is survived by her mother; Rosa Hernandez, siblings, Miguel (Christina) Hernandez, Guillermo (Rae) Hernandez, and Marina Stufflebeam, nieces and nephews; Angel (Nadia) Irizarry, Rosamaria (Francisco) Hinojosa, Maria (Trey) Irizarry, Anna (LC) Irizarry, Vicente Hernandez, Patricia Hernandez, and Amelia Hernandez, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Jorge Melchor, father, Guillermo Hernandez, siblings Maria Irizarry, Elisa Hernandez, Pablo Hernandez, and nephew, Guillermo Hernandez Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at WHITE FUNERAL HOME located at 921 W. Glen Park W. Ave. (45th Ave.) Griffith with Fr. Theodore Mens officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, October 2, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with prayers at 6:30 p.m. at White Funeral Home

Maria loved baking cakes, spending time with her family, listening to her favorite music, and watching the T.V. Show 9-1-1
