Manuel "Moy" Villasenor

Manuel “Moy” Villasenor, 66 years of age, passed on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at St. Catherine’s Hospital in Indiana.

Moy was born August 04, 1955, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico to the late Sofia Villasenor. He was the youngest of six children.

Moy married Sanjuana Villasenor in 1974 and five children were born from this union. He professed his life to Christ at an early age. He moved to Chicago, Il in the seventies, he loved listening to music and spending time with his friends and family.

Moy loved sports, especially playing basketball and bicycling. Every chance he would have, he’d be at the park enjoying nature. He was a man’s man, witty, and enjoyed life to the fullest and always ready to entertain.  

Moy was an intuitive and skilled automotive engineer also a problem-solver who often took difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. An avid automobile fan, he acquired a vast knowledge of the auto profession. He adored cooking his favorite recipes for his daughters and grandchildren. He loved grilling in the winter as well as the summer, and always had a story to tell from his childhood adventures or those of his many life experiences.  

Moy is survived by his wife, Sanjuana Villasenor (nee Maldonado); his children, Claudia (Joe), Melisa, Sophia (Cris), Moiseva, Jessica (Joey), Muneca, Moses; his grandchildren, Monico, Robert, Pricilla, Matthew, Damien, Dominik, Victoria, Alexandria, Athena, Julius, Zoe, Violet. Ezekiel, brother Clemente, and sisters Nohemi, Raquel, Magdalena, and Rosa Maria.

He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Friday January 28, 2022, beginning at 7:00 PM at WHITE FUNERAL HOME located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave.) Griffith with Pastor Domingo officiating.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday January 28, 2022, from 4:00 PM till time of service at WHITE FUNERAL HOME.

Burial will take place on Monday January 31, 2022, at 11:00 AM DIRECTLY AT St. Mary Catholic Cemetery located at 87th St. and S. Hamlin Ave. Evergreen Park, IL 60805.
