Kristina E Thiel

Kristina E. (Danielewicz) Thiel, age 73, of Highland, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024.

She is survived by her daughters; Jennifer (Bryan) Galocy, Nicole (Jeffry) O’Brien, grandchildren; Emma, Jack, Joey, and Ava, brothers; Dennis (late Lydia) Danielewicz, Mike (Michelle) Danielewicz, Conrad (Julie) Danielewicz, Ron (Fran) King, Glen (Patty) King, brother-in-law, Joe (Linda) Thiel, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kristina was preceded in death by her parents Hubert and Dolores King, Joseph Danielewicz, and beloved husband of 50 years, Donald Thiel.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 beginning at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. Mary’s Catholic Church located at 525 N. Broad St. Griffith, with Fr. Keith Virus celebrating. Inurnment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave.) Griffith.

The OG of Calumet City.  A loving wife and dedicated stay at home mom.  Belonged to St. Victor School and parish for many years. A Rock-star at raising a family and running a poker table!  

A TRUE fighter, survived uterine and breast cancer.  Her resilience and perseverance was undeniable!  Always grounded by her unwavering FAITH in God and genuine LOVE for her family.  

Adored her grandchildren, enjoyed that they kept her young and totally embraced being called a “Snack”.   When they were together, she was no longer the adult in the room:) 

An outgoing personality that was palpable and a smile and laugh that was contagious. Sassy, sarcastic, and completely unfiltered but ALWAYS full of Love!!!

Mom… your presence was always noticed,…. your absence is DEEPLY felt, you will remain FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS!
