Kristen "Kris" A. (Krooswyk) Hoffman

Kristen A. “Kris” Hoffman (nee Krooswyk)  age 79 of Crown Point, formerly of Griffith, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 8, 2025, surrounded by family after a 13-year gallant and courageous battle against Parkinsons Disease with dignity, elegance, and grace. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Don; son Jeff (Melinda) Hoffman; sister Debbie Krooswyk; sister-in-law Kathy (Tim) McCoy, brother-in-law Larry (Vicki) Hoffman and sister-in-law Dori Krooswyk; and by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Eileen Krooswyk, son Eric, and by her brothers David and Dale Krooswyk.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 13, 2025, at 10:30am DIRECTLY at the First United Methodist Church 352 S. Main St. Crown Point, Indiana with Pastor Mark Wilkins officiating. Cremation will follow the services.

Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday November 12, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 pm at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave (45th Ave) in Griffith.

Kris graduated from Griffith High School class of 1964. She worked for the Simmons Corporation, was a Teacher’s Aide for Special Education for 8 years and worked for Dr. McAleer and Dr. Gall Dentistry for 18 years as Office Manager. She was a member of Tri Kappa and the Griffith Park Full of Art Committee for 40 years, serving as the Treasurer for many years. She absolutely loved spending time with family and friends and also enjoyed her time in Florida during the winters, skiing and camping with her kids, golfing, and helping others.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to NWI Parkinson’s Foundation or to Transition’s Hospice.
