Kevin R. Sutherland

Kevin Ray Sutherland, age 57 of Crown Point, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Tammy; children, Sarah Sutherland and Luke Sutherland; mother, Evelyn Sutherland; sisters, Sharon Sutherland, Julie Sutherland, and Janet (Ron) Helgamo; brother, Gilbert Williams; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kevin is preceded in death by his father, Ray Sutherland, and sister, Nancy Wasowicz.

Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 1:00-4:00 pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th Ave) in Griffith.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 10:00 am at White Funeral Home in Griffith with Pastor Brandon Rukes officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.

Kevin was a former employee of Atlas Tube in Chicago, and a member of the Teamster’s Union Local #731. He often enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, astronomy, flying drones, and having target practice (shooting). Kevin also enjoyed listening to music, tinkering, and loved his Chevy’s. Among many things, Kevin was a huge Chicago Bears fan, but his favorite activity was being the fulltime superhero to his children.
