Juventino C. Martinez

Juventino C. Martinez, age 92, of Griffith passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Adelina; children: Leticia (Albert) Garcia, Rosa Maria (Jim) Woessner, Veronica (Alfred) Robledo, Juventino Jr (Debbie) Martinez, Lucia (Clifford Hutchison) Martinez, and Isabel (Greg) Battistella; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers: Jesus Martinez and Jaime Martinez; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Genaro and Otila; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th) Ave. Griffith, Indiana 46319 with Father Keith Virus officiating. Burial at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens will follow. Friends may meet with the family on Friday November 17, 2023, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at White Funeral Home in Griffith.

Juventino was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith. He was instrumental in founding the Union Benefica Mexicana and Los Hijos de Juarez 1 where he held many positions of authority. He retired from Inland Steel after 35 years.

He enjoyed travelling. He went on 26 cruises and numerous all-inclusive vacations and bus trips.
