Julie (Ramsey) Montealegre

Julie Joy (Ramsey) Montealegre, age 47, of Hebron, Indiana, formerly of Highland, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

Julie is survived by her beloved husband of 21 years, Edgar “Butch” Montealegre; her children, Donald Grinker and Marissa Montealegre; her mother, Janet Ramsey; her siblings, Jennifer (Daniel) Parnell, David A. (Cindy) Ramsey Jr., William “Tony” (Chris) Ramsey Sr., Jessica (Nicky) Jones, and Jonathan Ramsey; her sister-in-law, Gina (Todd) Warburton; her brother-in-law, Eric Montealegre; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, David A. Ramsey Sr.; her nephew, David A. Ramsey III; her mother-in-law, Lorraine Dierking; and her father-in-law, Gus Montealegre.

Julie graduated from Thornridge High School in Dolton, Illinois, Class of 1996. She enjoyed playing pool, riding motorcycles, sewing, and playing video games, especially "Among Us", "Minecraft", and "Call of Duty". Julie will be remembered for her loving heart, her witty sense of humor, and the light she brought to her family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. directly at White Funeral Home, 921 W. Glen Park Avenue (45th Avenue), Griffith, Indiana.

Cremation will follow the visitation.
