Joseph A. Pawlus

Joseph A.  Pawlus, age 55, of Griffith, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025. He is survived by his wife Melissa; daughter, Lilly Pawlus; grandson, Jasiah; mothers, Genene Kambs and Judy Pawlus; sisters, Emily, Lauren, Alison, Jamie, and brother John.

Joseph is preceded in death by his fathers: George Branch and George Pawlus.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 7:00pm at White Funeral Home with Pastor José Burgos officiating. Friends may meet with family Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 5:00-7:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park Avenue (45th Ave.) in Griffith.

Joseph was a special education teacher at 21st Century Charter School. He was an avid reader, loved everything Harry Potter, MMA, Theater, Jujitsu, and music.
