John A. Ramos Sr.

John Authur Ramos Sr., age 47, formerly of Portage, IN, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in Hammond, IN in 1978 to David and Laura Ramos. John was a machinist at Hammond Machine Works in Hammond, IN until he could no longer continue to work. John was preceded in death by his Grandparents and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Veronica (nee Mayes) Ramos, their children: John Jr., Vincent Lucius, and Ariana Lynn. His parents, David and Laura Ramos, siblings: David (Laura) Ramos II, Corrin (Donny) Ramos, and Raul (Stephanie) Ramos, and several nieces and nephews. John is survived by many other loved ones-aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.

Friends may meet with family on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 9:00 until 11:30 AM at White Funeral Home located 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave.) in Griffith, IN.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 11:30 AM with Mike Malkimos officiating. Burial to follow at Heritage Cemetery in Portage, IN.
