James D. Gallagher

James “Jimmy” D. Gallagher, aka “Bosco”, age 55, of Hammond, passed away on June 9, 2026.

Jimmy is survived by his beloved daughter, Angel Gallagher; his father, Dennis “Denny” Gallagher and stepmother, Frances “Vee” Gallagher; his sisters, Teresa Davenport, Michele Stroud, and Kerry Gallagher; his stepbrothers, Allen Beeler III and Jeff Beeler; his stepsister, Kandi Nesbitt; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Beeler; his stepfather, Allen W. Beeler Jr.; and his stepbrothers, Matt Beeler and Scott Fitzgerald.

Jimmy had a passion for riding his Harley and enjoyed the freedom of the open road. He was known for his generous spirit and dedication to helping others, volunteering his time delivering food through the local Food Pantry. He worked for Snow Pros and was known as the “Snow King”. He was also an avid scraper, Jimmy took pride in his work and enjoyed being busy. He also had a special bond with his beloved dog, Wimpy, who was a constant companion. Jimmy was a proud member of the Griffith American Legion and valued the friendships and camaraderie he found there.

Jimmy will be remembered for his kind heart, willingness to help others, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial visitation will be held on  Wednesday June 17th, 2026 at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th (Glen Park) Avenue, Griffith,
