Hortensia A. Ramos

Hortensia A. Ramos, age 80, of Hammond, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022.  She is survived by her children: Sanjuana (Danny) Winiecki, Adela Ramos, Julian Ramos, Veronica (Brian) Clark, Jose Ramos, Francisco (Diana) Ramos, Leonardo (Maria) Ramos, Marina (Alejandro) Gonzalez, Theodore Ramos; her bonus children: Ciro Ramos, David (Laura) Ramos, Robert Ramos; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers: Francisco Aguirre and Louis Aguirre; and her sister: Maridol Martinez. She was preceded in death by her parents: Theodore and Manuala Aguirre; her husband: Leonardo, Sr.; her children: Raul Ramos, Leonardo Ramos, Jr., Alberto Ramos, Lizzeta Cardenas, and Elena Ramos; her brother: Theodore Aguirre; and her sister: Cruz Diaz.

Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th (Glen Park) Ave. Griffith. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 12:00 Noon with Father Theodore Mens officiating. Cremation will follow services.

Hortensia loved playing Bingo. She was a very straight forward lady with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed running errands; but more importantly she really enjoyed cooking for her friends and family.
