Gregory A Bodnar

Gregory A. Bodnar, age 60, of Hammond, formerly of Highland, passed away on Monday, May 18th, 2026.

He is survived by his siblings; John (Karen) Bodnar, Suzette Bodnar, Jeffrey (Mary) Bodnar, nieces and nephews; Lara Paige, Jon-Stefan, Danielle, Jessica, Michael, and Mary Grace.

Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Bodnar.

A private service will take place on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, at 12 NOON at the Elmwood Cemetery Chapel, located at 1413 169th St., Hammond, IN.

Gregory enjoyed spending time outdoors and being with his friends. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Gregory enjoyed his music, listening to the Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Aerosmith, and many other rock bands. He had a fun personality, a big heart, and everyone liked being around him.

Gregory could work on anything and fix anything. He could do carpentry, work on cars, etc. It was in his genes.

Gregory will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
