Gail E (McClellan) Green

Gail E. Green, forever “28”, of Griffith passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024. 

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon & Elizabeth “Betty” McClellan. She is survived by her husband Kenny Sipos and her children Danny Green, Heather (Alex) Valenzuela, and stepson Joseph (Erikka) Sipos. As a grandmother to eight adored grandchildren - Lexi (Joe), Mason, Noah, Luca, Levi, Connor, Kailey & great-grandson Dexter - her heart overflowed with love. She cherished every moment spent with them, attending school events, sporting events, sharing stories, and creating treasured memories that will last a lifetime. She was a sister to Gary (Deb) McClellan, and godmother to Nate Massa.

Gail touched the lives of all who knew her. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did. She was a die-hard Cubs fan, loved shopping, cooking & watching crime shows. She was happiest when surrounded by family, friends and her adorable furry companion Duffy.  She could strike up a conversation with a perfect stranger and have it sound like they had been friends for years. Her ability to brighten a room was unmatched. The friends she surrounded herself with throughout her lifetime became family. 

Gail retired from Target after 26 years and from there went on to work for Franciscan Healthcare.

Gail will be deeply missed, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace knowing that she left an unforgettable legacy of love, kindness, & generosity, and that her beautiful soul will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, at 12pm at her home.
