Gabriel R. Alvarez

Gabriel R. Alvarez age 37 of Gary, Indiana passed away on Friday September 9, 2022. He is survived by his siblings Yvette (James) Ford, Guadalupe Acevez, Christine (Isaias) Zamot, Manuel (Josephine) Campos, Santiago (Elizabeth) Campos, Matthews (Aldis) DeClements; nieces and nephews Damien, Lexus, Yasmin, Celeste, Devin, Anthony, Manuel Jr., Jesus, Desiree, Marc Anthony, Xzavier, Destiny, Isaias Jr., Prince, Santiago Jr. Antonio, Christian, Emiliano, Matthew Jr., Amia, Amari, Anila and by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Gabriel was preceded in death by his parents Santiago and Susie.

Friends may meet with the family on Thursday September 15, 2022, from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th (Glen Park) Avenue, Griffith.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 15, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Ruben Gonzalez officiating. Cremation will follow the services.

Gabriel was formerly employed at Heritage Environmental at the US Steel Gary Works. Gabriel was a loving brother and amazing uncle. He had a heart of gold and always helped others before himself. He loved joking and laughing with friends and family and don’t forget he loved his cars.
