Ethard "Mac" E. McIlroy

Ethard “Mac” McIlroy, age 90, of Gary, passed away on Sunday, August 24th, 2025.

He is survived by his children; Ricky Earl (Nellie) McIlroy, Randy Joe (Kim) McIlroy, Kelly Renee (Tim) Sieman, grandchildren; Lindsey Marie, Colton Earl, Abbey Clare, and Emma Grace, great-grandchildren, Adrian Frank, Mya Lee, and Gage, and sister, Diane Stinnett.

Ethard was preceded in death by his parents, Calvert and Jolene McIlroy, wife, Rena, and granddaughter, Trena Lee.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, August 28th, 2025, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave., Griffith, with Pastor Adam Lyle officiating.

Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, August 28th, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home.

Ethard was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local #599 for 65 years and also a 53-year member of the Griffith Masonic Lodge #735 and later the McKinley Lodge 712.

In his spare time, Ethard enjoyed fishing and bowling.
