Edward N. McCarthy

Edward N. McCarthy age 61 of Griffith, Indiana passed away on Friday October 22nd, 2021, from a long-time battle with COPD. He left behind a wife of 33 years Michelle; 5 children: Elizabeth, Eddie, Ashley, Alexis, and Justin; 7 grandchildren, and 4 brothers: Joe, David, Chris, and Adrian.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Nikki, his parents Edward R. McCarthy and Sally Jo De Armond, sister Irene McCarthy.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a long-time truck driver, loved his red Chester cheetah truck.  In the summertime he would take his oldest son with him, but he was always running late, which became his CB handle. Edward will always be remembered for his laughter, smile, and dry witty sense humor and smirky grin. When we think of him, we will remember him jamming his stereo to his favorite band “Aerosmith” while mastering the grill after a fun filled day at the waterpark or beach always with his hair perfectly done. He was a die-hard Bears fan who on Sundays would always dress in his many Bears gear. Edward enjoyed watching “The Flash” with his youngest son and ALWAYS taking his youngest daughter side when there was an argument. He was kindhearted and would always lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Edward will be extremely missed by his family and friends. Rest in peace BABE, you will be always in my heart and soul, until we meet again, I Love You! Michelle.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 30th from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue (Glen Park) Griffith, Indiana. All are welcome to come and share memories of Edward.
