Dragica Dorothy Gora

Dragica “Dorothy” Gora, age 66 of Griffith, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Carl Gora; four legged companion  Buddy; her loving mother Drenka Kragulj; brother’s Drago (Robin) Kragulj and Milojko Kragulj; sister Mara Kragulj; the best ever Aunt, Dorothy Lawver; her  brother and sister-in laws Janet (Fred) Rosenwinkel, Henry Gora Jr., Steve (Linda) Gora, the most caring and thoughtful Christine Gora, Maryann, and Kathy Gora, Tom (Ashlee) Gora; and by her many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her father Jovo Kragulj.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave) in Griffith. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.

Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at White Funeral Home.

Dorothy was a former waitress at Round the Clock Restaurant and Michaels Restaurant in Highland. She was an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks fan. Dorothy also loved to go fishing and camping.
