Donna Gail (White) Williams

Donna Gail Williams age 66 of Portage, Indiana was led by her guardian angels to her reward in Heaven on August 11, 2022 at 11:00 pm. Donna was born December 25, 1955 in East Chicago, Indiana. She is survived by her husband of 43 years Darrell E. Williams, daughters Stephanie (John) Sabaitis and Brittany Renee Williams and her beloved grandchildren: Jaxson Cole Sabaitis, Cruz Alexander Sabaitis and Ellie Jade Harrison. She is also survived by her brothers Larry (Joyce) White, Gary White and by her sister Karen White, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Don and Ruth White.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 17th 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th (Glen Park) Avenue Griffith, Indiana with Pastor James Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Schererville, Indiana.

Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday August 16th 2022 at White Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00p.m.

Donna (GiGi) cherished and adored her grandchildren. She was very kind and tender hearted person who was a caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and teacher. She earned both a BA and Masters degree in education from Purdue and taught for many years in the Hammond Public School system and another 12 years at Brown Mackie Business College. Her loving husband, Darrell, was a devoted and loving caretaker for the last 10 years of her life. The family would like to thank all the staff at Northwest Health-Porter Hospital and Dunes Hospice for all their professional, kind and generous care.
