Diana L. (Hinton) Trimble

Diana L. Trimble, age 77 of Hammond, passed away peacefully on

Thursday January 16, 2025. She is survived by her daughters Jane (Frank)

Mrvan and Natalie Darnell; grandchildren Holly, Stefan, Genevieve, Ava,

Olivia, Scarlett, Bowie, and Jasper; great-grandson Zaiden; sisters Cindy

(Scott) Spillmeier, Melissa (Charles) VanDrunen; and by her brothers

James Hinton and William Hinton. She was preceded by her parents

James and Bonnie Hinton, daughter Kelly, siblings Nancy Res, Linda Allee,

Ellen Lang and son-in-law Steve Darnell.

Diana was a proud mother and grandmother. She loved celebrating her

loved ones’ achievements. She was very social and made friends

everywhere she went. She bowled on a league at Plaza Lanes for decades

and frequented bingo and the casino. She took pride in her job at the

Highland Meijer in the Health & Beauty department. She belonged to a

bunco club with family members that met monthly and enjoyed each other's

company, cooking, and reminiscing. Diana enjoyed watching sports on

television and was a fan of the Chicago Cubs. She also enjoyed music,

especially the oldies station, and was always singing her favorites.

Diana hosted many holiday meals and gatherings. She was a gracious host

and always made people feel welcome. She always invited friends in and

made them feel like family. She was the person that everyone could turn to

in difficult times. She has touched the lives of many with her kindness and

selflessness, and will be missed greatly.

Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday January 22, 2025 from

4-8 pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th

Ave) in Griffith. Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 23, 2025

at 10 am at White Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in
