Dennis Gilmartin Obituary

Dennis Michael Gilmartin, age 64, formerly of Dyer, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

He is survived by his children: Chad Michael Gilmartin and Kelly Michelle Gilmartin, grandchild: Kendall, siblings: Laurie (Dale) Corman and Bobby Gilmartin, and many nieces and nephews.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents: James Sr. and Dolores, siblings: James Jr., Billy, and Lynn.

Friends may meet the family on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 12 (noon)- 4:00 PM at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th Ave.) in Griffith. A prayer service will be held at 3:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, directly at St. Mary Catholic Church, located at 525 N. Broad Street in Griffith, IN, with Father Mens officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL.

Dennis was an enthusiastic supporter of both the Chicago Cubs and Bears. He enjoyed cooking, valued time with his family, and was known for his selflessness. Of all his pursuits, he found the greatest fulfillment in spending time with his granddaughter, Kendall. His absence will be profoundly felt.
