David Donald Davis Sr.

David Donald Davis Sr., age 70, of Schererville, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kathy, children, David (Misty) Grzeczka, Suzanne (Jesús) Gonzalez, Edith Davison, Kimberly Jarvis, David Davis Jr., numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and by his siblings, Sharon Davis, Alvin (Anita) Davis, Shawn (Bob) Dorrance, Steven (Jen) Davis, and Michelle Davis.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Iva Davis, and son Eric Davis.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave., Griffith, with Pastor Adam Lyle officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.

Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home.

David retired from the military, serving with the Army. He served both in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

David enjoyed being a part of the Tri-Town Safety Village located in Schererville, and in past times enjoyed going fishing.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family; they will be donating to a Veteran Program in David’s honor.
