Corinne F. (Kirsch) Denny

Corinne F. Denny age 78 of Cedar Lake, formerly of Griffith, passed away on Friday June 26, 2026. She is survived by her son Matt (Molly) Denny; grandsons George and Henry; sister Kim (Larry) White; brother Tom (Pat) Kirsch; and by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Ruth Kirsch, husband Gordon, and by her infant son Michael. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 2, 2026, at 10:00am at White Funeral Home with Rev. Merlyn Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, Illinois.

 Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday July 1, 2026, from 4:00-8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave (45th Ave) in Griffith.

Corinne graduated from TF South High School in Lansing, IL. She retired from the School City of Hammond after 35 years of teaching and was a past Board Member and member of the Retired Teachers Association, and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Corinne was the former Co-Owner along with her husband Gordon of the Backdoor Lounge in Griffth and she loved spending time with her grandsons and family, going to the Casino’s, avid golfer and watching “her” Cubs and Bears.
