Colleen M. Romesburg

Colleen M. Romesburg, age 62, of Griffith, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jack “Rocky” Romesburg; children: Nicholas Romesburg, Nicole Romesburg, Eric Romesburg, David (Michelle) Romesburg, Rachel (Matt) Zeko, Allison (Tony Baran) Romesburg, Natalie (Logan Hogue) Romesburg, Julia Wheeler; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; siblings: Michael McGregor, Patti (Tom) Woronecki, Kathy (Dave) Stamper, Debbie McGregor; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Eva McGregor; brothers David and Tim McGregor; and sister Linda Connelly.

Her services will be held on Saturday, January 7 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Griffith Baptist Church, 826 N. Harvey Street, Griffith, IN 46319. 

Colleen grew up in Highland (Highland High School, Class of 1978) as the 2nd youngest of 8 children. She was a former employee of Christenson Chevrolet and Paramount Printing, but her primary occupation was loving homemaker. She had 8 children, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Colleen was also a 'neighborhood mom' to many over the years, opening up her home to many who needed a place to stay during tough times.

Colleen was known for her energetic personality, and you could always find her cleaning wherever she went. She loved gardening, bowling, dancing, and listening to AC/DC and Elvis. She loved animals - from riding horses on the farm she grew up on to the many pets she had over the years (especially her dog Brandy) to the squirrels in her front yard that she would feed every day. But most of all she loved spending time with her loving, crazy family. She will be sorely missed by many
