Cleofe Ramos

Cleofe Ramos, age 93, of Lake Station, Indiana passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Sonia Ramos; his children: Olga (James) Duncan, Cleofe Cruz Jr., George (Elsa) Ramos, Carlos (Octavia) Ramos, Sandra Ramos, Madeline (Randy) Niemeyer; grandchildren: Ceneca Ramos, C.J. Ramos, Anisa Ramos, Myah Niemeyer, Erik Niemeyer, Eli Iglesias, Nico Iglesias; great grandchildren: Ramon Diaz, Sofia Diaz, Luca Diaz, Leilani Iglesias, and baby boy Carlos Jr. on the way.

He is preceded in death by his parents Nicanor Ramos and Ignacia Cruz; and siblings: Elpidio (Lola) Torres, Nato (Celine) Ramos, Isabel Viruet, Lola Viruet, Generoso (Ana) Ramos.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th) Ave. Griffith, Indiana 46319. Cremation will follow the visitation.

Cleofe retired from LTV Steel (Boiler House) after 42 years. He was a member of Hijos de Borinquen Asociacion in East Chicago, Indiana. Cleofe enjoyed playing dominos, gardening, and watching the Chicago White Sox.
