Carol Ann Mazalan

Carol Ann Mazalan, age 73, of Griffith, formerly of Portage, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

She is survived by her children, Charlene M. Mazalan and Jason R. Mazalan; her beloved grandson, Noah Mazalan-Robertson; and her aunt, Yolanda M. Foldesi. Carol is also survived by her half-sisters, Cheryl (Fred) Haseman, Joanne Stevenson, Laura (John) Johnson, Jeanette (Russell) Mann, along with many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Parkerson and Mary Molnar; her brothers, Ronnie and David Parkerson; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins from both sides of the family.

Carol was a graduate of East Chicago Washington High School. She lived and worked in the area throughout her life, remaining close to her family and community.

Per the family’s wishes, services will be private.
