Carmen C. Mojarro

Carmen (Mela) C. Mojarro, 45, of Griffith, IN, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Monday, September 20th.  She was a resident of Griffith and East Chicago, IN.  Mela was a  loving mother, beloved daughter and sister.  She is survived by her dear mother Joeann Mojarro, loving children Cristian, Pedro and Camila, dear brothers and sisters Maria V. Avila, Miguel Lara Jr., Rosy Sanchez, John Lara, Alfredo Diaz, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, comadres, compadres and friends.

Carmen took pride as the owner of TD’s Express Pizza and loved serving her customers and community.  Mela lived for her children and family. Her sunny personality, beautiful smile, and hard work ethic will be greatly missed.  Her wonderful spirit, joy, and life will be celebrated on September 29 at a Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church on Broad St. in Griffith.
