Candy Lee Evans, affectionately known as Cookie, was born on July 15, 1953, in Indiana, and passed away on October 17, 2024, in Maryville, Tennessee. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, whose proudest accomplishments were her loving family and the cherished moments they shared together.
Candy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Garry Evans. She is survived by her son, Garry Evans (Lisa Buck). Candy's legacy also includes her beloved grandchildren, Kolton Evans (Katey Evans), also with granddaughter Amber Evans and great-grandson Owen Szerlak. She is remembered fondly by her brother, Ricky Armstrong, and family friend, Larry MacGlashan.
An avid gardener and loved sewing, Candy found joy in creating beauty both in her home and in the lives of those around her. There was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with those she loved. She had a special fondness for cooking her favorite dishes or roast and sauerkraut and ham and beans.
Candy was known for her selflessness and loving nature, leaving an impressionable mark on all who knew her. She was truly one of a kind and irreplaceable. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave.) in Griffith.
