Bobby Joe White

          Bobby Joe White, age 89, of Highland, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025.  After growing up in West Virginia and graduating from Kingston High School, he moved to Whiting, IN.  He is survived by his sons: Robert (Roberta) White, Randall (Debbie) White, Richard (Diane) White; grandchildren: Daniel, Katherine, Brittney, William, Jennifer, and Alan; and great-granddaughters: Lillian, Amelia, and Lucy.  Bobby was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Earlene, and his parents, Randolf and Lillian. 

          Bobby worked as a mechanic in the steel industry for 30 years.  He loved sports, participating in: basketball, football, softball, volleyball, swimming, horseshoes, ping pong and billiards.  He won numerous medals at the Senior Olympics. 

          He especially loved spending time outdoors whether tending to his garden or tinkering in the garage. 

          He will be greatly missed as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a good friend and neighbor.
