Betty Ann (Trimmer) Young

Betty Ann Young, age 89, of Highland (formerly of Griffith) passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023. She is survived by her children Natalie (late Ken) Damron and Craig (Kirsten) Young; grandchildren: Odin, Teague, and Neve.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cleon and Audrey; husband Herman C. Young Jr.; and brother James Trimmer.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 7:00 PM at WHITE FUNERAL HOME, located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th) Ave. Griffith, Indiana 46319. Cremation will follow services. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 4:00 PM until the service begins at 7:00 PM at WHITE FUNERAL HOME.

Betty loved taking road trips, especially driving the old Route 66. She also loved being in Bowling Leagues at Plaza Lanes. Betty enjoyed painting, camping, watching soap operas and gameshows. She assisted with the "Pink Ribbon Society". She put others before herself and was a wonderful stay at home mom to 2 children that were separated in age by 15 years - everyone loved her.
