Alfonso W. Vidal Sr.

Alfonso “Al” Vidal, age 93, of Dyer, passed away on Saturday, March 15th, 2025.

He is survived by his children; Patricia, Emma, Alfonso, Albert (Laura), Monica Vidal, father figure of Albert (Sarah), Robert (Brittany), Sean, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, brother Victor Vidal, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alfonso was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Isabel Vidal, wife, Sherry, and siblings, Carlos, Ana Maria, Javier, and Jorge.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 21st, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave.) in Griffith, with Fr. Charles Niblick officiating.

Cremation will follow the service.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, March 20th, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home.

Alfonso, a lifelong member of the Indiana Harbor Yacht Club, was deeply passionate about boating. This passion led him to become the owner of the Roseland Outboard in Chicago and the Boat Clinic in Lynwood.

In addition to his boating pursuits, Alfonso was a former member of the Lynwood Lions Club, Rotary, and the Chamber of Commerce.
