William "Billy" Ray Laviolette, age 33, passed away peacefully January 21, 2014 in Munster, IN surrounded by family and friends. He was born on October 2, 1980 to William and Christy Laviolette. He is survived by his loving father, William H. Laviolette, Jr. of Griffith; dear paternal grandmother, Pat Laviolette of Griffith; uncles: Carl Laviolette (Bridget) of Griffith and Ray E. Kasmark Jr. (Teri) of Munster; aunts: Cheryl Mills (Dan) of Griffith, Dawn Largus (Tom) of Highland, and Deborah Musil (Jim) of Flower Mound, TX; cousins: Nicole Frear, Tara Howarth, Noelle Green, Ashley Volbrecht, Chauncey (Chrissy) Kasmark, Chelsey Kimes, Sam Kasmark, Taylor Kimes, Danny (Kelly) Mills, Jr., Doug Mills, David Mills, Darrin Mills, and Courtney Laviolette; special friends: George and Pam DeAngelo of Hammond; and four legged friends: Buffett and Romeo. Preceded in death by devoted mother, Christy Laviolette (nee Kasmark); paternal grandfather, William H. Laviolette, Sr.; maternal grandparents: Raymond E. Kasmark, Sr. and Ida May Kasmark. William graduated from Griffith High School in 2000. He worked at Bakker Produce, Ameristar Casino, and Griffith Police Dept. as a crossing guard. He will be remembered for his devotion to family and kindness to all who knew him. Services will be private and held at a later date.
