WILLIAM L. JONES SR. HIGHLAND, IN William L. Jones Sr., age 92 of Highland, passed away Friday, August 26, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. "Bill" is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eve M. Jones; children: William L. (Joye) Jones Jr. of Indianapolis, Virginia M. (Colman) LaPosa of Munster and Robert D. (Cheryl) Jones of Schererville; grandchildren: Tobin Jones, Kevin Jones, Lori Konopasek, Eric Jones and Lindsay Jones; and four great grandchildren. Bill was a retiree of the former Inland Steel, a member of St. James Catholic Church in Highland, and a member of the Croatian Lodge #154. Bill also served in the Merchant Marines during WWII and he was an avid bowler and dancer. He was Irish, but loved all the Croatian picnics and all the barbeque lamb.
