William H. "Bill" Horton age 87 of Highland , passed away on Monday July 25, 2011.  He is survived by his wife of 18 years: Norma; children: Brenda ( Gary ) Whiteside of Hanover , IN.; Dr. Will D. (Christina) Horton of Venice , FL.; s tep son: Paul D. Sims of Hammond; g randchildren: Erika (Jeff) Lambdin, Renee (Steve) McDowell, Shawn (Myndi) Whiteside, Anthony (Fiancée Amanda) Whiteside, and Brandon (Heather) Whiteside; 5 Great grandchildren; brothers: AJ Horton and Thomas (Faye) Horton; and he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Proceeded in death by his parents Wesley and Ella Horton, first wife Eula Tosh, and by his sisters Glen, Ether, and Evie.

Funeral services will be held on Friday July 29, 2011 at 11:00am at Glory to God Lutheran Church (Gloria Dei) located at 3711 Ridge Rd. in Highland with Pastor David Trexler officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.  Friends may meet with the family on Friday July 29 ^th from 10:00am until the time of services at the Glory to God Lutheran Church .  Bill was retired from Republic Steel and he was a member of Glory to God Lutheran Church .
